The Land Rover V8 Register
Factory-built V8 Land Rovers are a rare and special breed. Just a very small number of the Land Rovers which have rolled out of Solihull in the last thirty or so years have been equipped with the all-aluminium 3.5 or 3.9 litre Rover V8. The Land Rover V8 Register, a new club catering exclusively for these vehicles, is being set up with the following aims:
The club has no intention of duplicating the efforts of other established clubs for V8 powered Solihull products, such as the Range Rover and military 101FC. Hence its activities will probably concentrate on the following vehicles:
The club will not cater specifically for converted V8s - those which left the factory with four or six cylinder engines - although owners of such vehicles are welcome to join the club, as are those who do not currently own a V8 Land Rover, or indeed any Land Rover at all. At this stage we are not asking for any money or commitment, we simply want to know how many of you are interested in joining the club, and what you would like to get out of it. Our aim is to get the club up and running in plenty of time to have a stand at the Billing Land Rover Show in July 2006, where we want to gather together as many different kinds of V8 Land Rover as possible. If you feel you might like to support this new club, please click here to take you to a page where you will be asked to supply some details. All data will be kept strictly confidential in compliance with the Data Protection Act, and your details will not under any circumstances be passed to third parties (unless required by law). When you have done that, make sure you visit our new Forum (kindly hosted by David Brooke at www.stage1v8.org.uk): Click here for the Forum (http://www.stage1v8.org.uk/phpBB2/index.php?)
