Series 2A Land Rover for sale

(More photos at foot of page) Here is a very pretty little 1967 Series 2A with full canvas soft top.  It is basically sound and straight but has one or two 'issues' which I will come to in a minute.  Offered for sale by one of my customers who has bought a really nice example which leaves this one surplus to requirements. Good points: largely original, straight and solid vehicle.  Chassis and bulkhead are generally very good.  Runs and drives, gearbox seems fine , rides and steers well, springs look fairly new.  Good canvas with no holes. Door tops look fairly new. Bad points: engine (an ex-military 3-bearing unit) is very rattly with low oil pressure and does not have much life left in it.  Brakes need sorting (very soft and pull to one side) and there is a bit of welding required to one bulkhead outrigger.  Has been stored undercover for a year and has no MoT. Has been brush painted, looks lovely from a distance but not so good on close inspection.  Photos make it look better than it is. Overall an ideal project vehicle which can easily be returned to the road and then improved further as time and funds permit.  Price: SOLD Vehicle is stored about 5 miles from Thetford, available to view by appointment.
